Bomb Toss Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026
This policy explains how Bomb Toss ("the game"), developed by Stan Wakefield ("I", "me"), handles information when you play it on iPhone.
The short version
- There are no accounts and no sign-in. I don't collect or receive your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress (stars, best scores, medals) and settings are saved only on your device.
- The game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect information from your device to show and measure those ads, as described below. Ads are only personalised if you allow it.
- The optional Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Apple. I never see your payment details.
Information saved on your device
The game saves the following on your iPhone so it can pick up where you left off:
- Progress: which levels you have cleared, your best stars, best scores and medals for each level, and whether you have seen the end-of-campaign celebrations.
- Settings: sound and music on or off, and which side of the screen the controls are on.
- Hints: whether a one-time tip (such as "hold to hurry") has already been shown.
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to me or anyone else, and it is deleted when you delete the game.
Information I collect
I do not run any servers for the game and do not collect personal information from it. The game has no sign-in, no chat and no way to share content with other players.
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple provides me with aggregated usage statistics and crash reports. These do not identify you, and you can turn them off at any time in the same place.
Advertising
The game is free to play and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. Ads may appear as a banner on the title screen and the level results screen, as an occasional full-screen ad between levels, and as an optional video you can choose to watch for an extra bomb.
To show ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, including:
- your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (country or region, not your precise location);
- device information such as model, operating system version, language and screen size;
- which ads were shown and whether you tapped them;
- diagnostic information about ad loading and performance;
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
Tracking permission (iOS)
When you first open the game, iOS may ask whether Bomb Toss can track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, Google may use your advertising identifier to show ads that are more relevant to you. If you don't, the identifier is not shared and you will still see ads, just less personalised ones. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Your privacy choices
The game uses Google's consent tool to show any privacy messages required where you live. Where available, a Privacy options button in the game lets you review or change your choices, including opting out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising under US state privacy laws (such as California's). When you opt out, Google limits how it uses your information for ads.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that show its ads at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and manage your Google ad settings at My Ad Center.
Reporting an ad
If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, please email me (address below) with a short description or screenshot so I can block it.
Remove Ads purchase
The game offers an optional one-time purchase that removes banner and full-screen ads. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy. I do not receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple only tells the game whether the purchase has been made, so it can turn ads off and restore the purchase on your other devices.
Third-party services
The game uses the following third-party services, which may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform: showing and measuring ads, and asking for and remembering your privacy choices.
- Apple App Store: distributing the game, processing the Remove Ads purchase, and (if you opted in) aggregated analytics and crash reports.
- Unity: the game engine the game is built with. The game does not use Unity's analytics, advertising or other online services, and is configured not to send usage data or hardware statistics to Unity.
Children's privacy
Bomb Toss is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the game, contact me and I will help have it deleted.
Data retention and deletion
I do not hold any personal information about you. Your progress and settings stay on your device until you delete the game. Information collected by Google for advertising is kept according to Google's Privacy Policy; you can manage or delete it through your Google account and My Ad Center. To request deletion of any data associated with you, or if you have questions about your rights, email the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example because the game adds a new service, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
